This course is designed to introduce the aspects of Computer Aided Design (CAD). This class will take a hands-on, exercise-intensive approach to all the important CAD techniques and concepts. This class is designed to serve as the foundation to the more advanced parametric feature-based CAD packages such as Inventor, which will be covered in CAD 2; and Revit or 3ds Max, which are covered in CAD 3. By the end of this class students will be able to: • create drawings using the AutoCAD design interface. • understand the concepts and functions of the latest AutoCAD Architecture Program • design architectural floor plans for a house. • establish a good basis for exploring and growing in the exciting field of Computer Aided Engineering.
