Senior Year Calendar of Events
September 12, 2016--Class of 2017 Senior Picture at 7:15am on the KM Stadium Field.
September 12, 2016--Senior Parent Information Meeting @ 6:30pm, Forum Room. Mrs. Bielen, Counselor, will go over the college application process and speak on important events for senior year.
October 10, 2016 -- Financial Aid Meeting; 6:00pm, Forum Room
October 24-31, 2016--FREE College Application Week for certain colleges/universities in Minnesota for "College Knowledge Month". Click here to see what colleges/universities are waiving application fees for this week. Great opportunity to save some money! Mrs. Bielen will also be providing college application help this week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) during Advisory in the Forum Room.
November 14, 2016--Senior Meeting during advisory with Jostens Rep, Forum Room
Seniors will receive Jostens packet information for ordering caps/gowns/diplomas. In this packet will be a card to fill out senior names for diplomas. Please make sure this is filled out completely and correctly. PSEO students are invited to come during advisory (12:58-1:23) or stop in the main office the next school day to pick up information.
November 17 & 18, 2016--Senior Cap and Gown Orders with Jostens, Commons. The Jostens Rep will be here on both November 17 & 18 to collect Senior Cap and Gown Orders in the Commons. November 17th will be during 2nd lunch (12:21-12:51). November 18 will be in the morning before school, 7:30-8:00am. PSEO students may come in during either time or place their orders/drop off packets in the High School main office.
December 9, 2016-- Senior Baby Pictures are due to Mr. Zacharda.
January 25, 2017--Seniors Baby Picture Pick Up. Seniors can start to pick up their baby pictures today from Mr. Zacharda (room 100).
March 6, 13, or 20, 2017---Senior Survey. Seniors will take a senior survey during advisory. This survey will ask seniors what college/university they want their "final" transcript (transcript stamped with graduation date) sent to the college they will be enrolling at in the fall.
March 16, 2017---Jostens handing out graduation announcements/caps/gowns during lunch, Commons. PSEO students may pick up during lunch/advisory (12:21-1:23pm) or the next school day in the main office. Otherwise, the Main Office will let PSEO students know when they can pick up their caps/gowns before/after school.
March 17, 2017-- Accuplacer Test for Seniors attending RCTC in the fall; The Learning Center at 8:00am
April 8, 2017--Junior/Senior Prom
Prom tickets go on sale starting 3/13/17. You can purchase tickets in the commons before school or in the Activities office. Cost is $50 for Juniors and Seniors and $60 for Underclassmen and non-KM guests. All non-KN guests must have a Prom guest form filled out before their ticket can be purchased. These forms can be picked up in the Activities office. All tickets must be purchased before Friday, March 24th.

April 10, 2017--Senior Pictures due to Mr. Zacharda.
April 19, 2017--No School for Seniors due to the Junior required ACT graduation test.
April 24, 2017---Senior Meeting during advisory, Forum Room. Senior class advisors will discuss the last month of high school itinerary and hand out a permission slip for the senior class trip. Senior class advisors will also review seniors' personal and group responsibilities as they conclude their final month of high school.
May 12, 2017---Turn in parental permission slip for Senior Class Trip to Mrs. Walsh and/or Mrs. Enders by 3:00 pm. If the permission slip is not turned in by the deadline the student will attend regular class that day in lieu of the senior class trip. Keep the make-up slip for yourself; this will be collected as you board the bus for the trip.
May 19, 2017--Senior Class Trip
Begin boarding buses at 7:00am. We will return by 3:10pm. Let's have some fun! Bring appropriate clothes for the planned event. We go rain or shine, hot or cold. Snacks, lunch, and beverages will be provided. All bags will be checked.
May 21, 2017---Baccalaureate Ceremony @ 7pm, First Baptist Church of Kasson
The ceremony will be held at First Baptist Church (304 4th Street NW) in Kasson. Please arrive at the church 15 minutes early and dress accordingly as this is a church service; including caps and gowns. Seniors are highly encouraged to attend.
May 25, 2017--KoMet Assembly (End of the Year Academic Awards Ceremony for grades 9-12) & Senior Slideshow; Performing Arts Center, 9:30-11:00am. Parents welcome to attend. Students who earn and academic letter will be recognized at this KoMet Awards Assembly. If you would like to contribute pictures for the senior slideshow please send them to Mrs. Enders by May 1.
Academic Letter: Kasson-Mantorville High School recognizes academic achievement with an academic letter. This letter is the same as the one given in athletics; however, a torch and wreath, symbolizing knowledge or scholarship, will be imprinted on the letter. The first-year letter will receive the academic letter and certificate. Student earning letters for the second and subsequent times will receive a gold bar, with a certificate also awarded each year. To earn an academic letter a student must have a cumulative GPA of 3.667 through the end of 3rd quarter each year. This cum GPA requirement is used for all grades 9-12.

Picture entries can be emailed to Mrs. Enders (firstname.lastname@example.org) by May 19, 2017.
May 31, 2017--Seniors LAST Day of School
May 31, 2017--Senior Scholarship & Award Night, Auditorium @ 7pm
Seniors are encouraged to bring in copies of scholarships awarded from colleges/community organizations/athletics, etc. as they will be presented on Scholarship Night. Copies of scholarships must be brought into Karen Wetzstein by May 24, 2017 in the Guidance Office. Seniors who are recipients of awards or scholarships will be notified via mail and must RSVP to the Guidance Office by May 24, 2017. Please dress nicely as pictures for the newspaper will be taken.
June 2, 2017--Graduation Rehearsal at 9am, KMHS North Gym
Graduation rehearsal is mandatory for all seniors participating in graduation ceremony. Students are expected to attend the rehearsal, arriving promptly at 9am, if they are choosing to walk through ceremony. Breakfast (donuts & bottled water) sponsored by the KMHS Student Council will be provided.
June 4, 2017--Graduation Ceremony, KMHS North Gym @ 2pm
*No tickets required for admission
Week of June 5---Senior "Final" transcripts (meaning stamped with official graduation date) will be sent out this week to colleges/universities seniors requested on their senior survey in March. Colleges require a final transcript for students to complete their college enrollment process as well as verify high school graduation.
