Your child's educational success is important to us, and regular attendance is the first step in achieving that success .
If your child is going to be absent, please call 634-1174 or e-mail the Attendance Office before 8:30 AM.
Parents may call the Attendance Office at any time to report an absence. If it is before/after hours, or I am just unable to answer, please leave a message with the absence information requested.
If you would like to email your child's absence, please send your email to the address listed at the bottom of this page. I respond to all emails verifying that they have been received.
If your child has been marked absent and I have not heard from you, I will be contacting you. I want to ensure that your child is safe.
Please note: Not all reported absences will be considered excused. Examples of unexcused absence include: oversleeping, work, babysitting, shopping, haircut, car trouble (Principal discretion), leaving school without permission from the office, absent from class without the consent of a parent/guardian, etc. Please refer to the student handbook for more information.
FOR STUDENTS IN A SCHOOL-RELATED SPORT/ACTIVITY -
The attendance office must be notified of appointments 24 hours in advance for the student to be eligible to participate in that day's event. However, in the case of a last-minute doctor's appointment, a doctor's note will be accepted to regain eligibility. Please see the student handbook for further clarification.
Your help in reporting your child's absence is greatly appreciated!
