COURSE OUTLINE

INTRODUCTION: This course is designed to cover the period of American history from its earliest times to the post- Civil War Reconstruction/western expansion era. It will identify major themes in American history and explain their importance at each stage in the development of the nation. It will also attempt to show the variety of experiences and influences that have shaped the United States.

Tests will generally consist of multiple choice and essay questions.

CHEATING/PLAGIARISM: Giving or receiving unauthorized assistance and using unauthorized aids on any classwork or homework assignment is cheating, and is forbidden.
