Almost Maine, presented by KMHS Drama Department, April 13-15, 2018
The KMHS Drama Department proudly presents John Cariani’s real romantic comedy, "Almost, Maine," April 13-15 at the Minnesota WiFi Performing Arts Center. Show times are Friday, April 13 at 7:00 pm; Saturday, April 14 at 7:00 pm; and Sunday, April 15 at 2:00 pm.

"Almost, Maine" has been the most-produced play at the high school level for many years, and for good reason. Described by the playwright as "a real romatic comedy," Almost, Maine tells nine stories of different kinds of love, all of which take place at exactly the same moment in eponymous fictional town. Almost, Maine, is a town that’s so far north, it’s almost not in the United States—it’s almost in Canada. And it almost doesn’t exist. Because its residents never got around to getting organized. So it’s just…Almost.

One cold, clear Friday night in the middle of winter, while the northern lights hover in the sky above, Almost’s residents find themselves falling in and out of love in the strangest ways. Knees are bruised. Hearts are broken. Love is lost, found, and confounded. And life for the people of Almost, Maine will never be the same. ALMOST, MAINE: It’s love. But not quite.

Featuring the acting talents of Sean Hines, Hannah Brumfield, Aubrey Zea, Ben McCaskey, Nathan Loy, Lydia Gillis, Claire Turner, Ellie Paynter, Lars Wagener, Dane Holmes, Olivia Smith, Annie Buresh, Keana Meneses, Gabby Thomas, Zachary Trapp, Rachel Christenson, Justin Klepel, Cassie Gasser, Caitlyn Irish, and Cody Rysavy, and the offstage talents of Julia Christenson, Gabe Bungum, Aaron Bronk, Peyton Wolf, and Melisa Ferris, this show is suitable for all ages, but might be best enjoyed by ages 7 and up.
